Shravasti – United Way Mumbai (UWM) hosted the Saksham Kit Distribution Ceremony to support 50 women from Shravasti district in launching their own businesses and becoming financially independent.
The event featured Mr. Anubhav Singh, Chief Development Officer (IAS), as the chief guest, who lauded the initiative as a pivotal move towards women’s economic empowerment. Other key officials, including Mr. Rajeev Kumar (Deputy Commissioner, NRLM) and Mrs. Anju Moriya (District Mission Manager), were also present.
Driving Women’s Economic Growth:
2,666 women trained in financial literacy to access financial services and government schemes.
289 women were assisted with entrepreneurship development training and livelihood assets to kick start their enterprise in last three years.
The initiative marks a significant step toward fostering self-reliance and entrepreneurship among women in Shravasti.
